Eastern Mountain Sports in North Conway is proud to offer a winter full of non-technical introductory clinics, right from our store! These 3 hour hands-on sessions are held outdoors at the Eastern Mountains Sports in North Conway New Hampshire, right in the heart of the White Mountains
. Your experienced Eastern Mountain Sports team of guides will be on hand to give instruction on the various types of winter related activities found right here in the White Mountains. Clinics will cover topics such as,

Participants should come properly dressed to spend several hours outdoors. Eastern Mountain Sports will provide all technical gear for each activity.

ce Axe and Crampon Skills
Winter hiking in the White Mountains often requires the use of crampons and hiking above treeline in the winter most certainly requires the use of an ice axe. This introductory clinic will give you the opportunity to try out these tools in a safe and controlled environment. Eastern Mountain Sports climbing guides will assist you with choosing and fiting crampons and show you how to select an ice axe. You will also learn hands-on how to properly use these important winter mountaineering tools. A great clinic for those thinking of climbing Mt. Washington this wnter!

Winter Camping
Don't let a little snow keep you from enjoying the thrill of camping in the winter! These clinics will teach you how to select a campsite and properly set-up your tent and cooking area. You will have an opportunity to check out some of the latest in winter camping gear and accessories!
