1. Why should I buy travel insurance?
Travel insurance gives you coverage for unforeseen problems, from a cancelled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, even an act of terrorism or the financial default of a travel supplier. If an illness, accident, or other covered unforeseen circumstance forces you to cancel or interrupt your plans, you can face two major financial losses—money invested in nonrefundable pre-payments, and medical expenses that in many instances may not be covered by health insurance.

2. What happens if a I need to cancel my vacation?
Often you will lose nonrefundable deposits and prepayments that can add up to hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars. A comprehensive travel insurance plan through Travel Guard can provide trip cancellation coverage for your vacation investment—the insurance company reimbursesyou for all pre-paid, nonrefundable expenses for a covered loss.

3. How does trip cancellation and interruption coverage work?
It reimburses for forfeited, nonrefundable, unused payments or deposits if you must cancel or interrupt your trip due to a covered reason.

4. What other coverage is typically included in an Travel Guard travel insurance plan?
In addition to trip cancellation and interruption, the more comprehensive travel insurance plans available today may also cover emergency medical expenses; emergency medical transportation, when ordered by a doctor, to the nearest adequate medical facility; reimbursement for accommodations and expenses incurred due to travel delays; reimbursement for the purchase of essential items if baggage is delayed; and coverage against lost, stolen or damaged baggage.

5. How much does travel insurance cost?
The cost of travel insurance is based, in most cases, on the value of the trip and the age of the traveler. Typically, the cost is five to seven percent of the trip cost.

The above brochure contains a graph showing estimated prices for a plan. These are based on age and total cost you wish to cover. To recieve full coverage you must include all costs of the trip, from the time you leave your home to the time you return. This means any flights, hotels, land cost of the trip from Eastern Mountain Sports, etc... You are also weclome to call us here in the office or send an email for a quote.

To purchase a plan
To purchase a plan please first add up all expenses you wish to cover for your trip. To recieve full coverage you must include all costs of the trip, from the time you leave your home to the time you return. This means any flights, hotels, land cost of the trip from Eastern Mountain Sports, etc... Once you have this you may give us a call at 800-310-4504 or emal beck@emstrek.com. We will work with you to ensure all questions are answered and the policy information is correct. In 7 to 10 business days a package will be sent to your home containing further information regarding you new travel insurance policy.
