How to Book a Trip
We have made it easy to book your next adventure with Eastern Mountain Sports! Please follow these simple instructions and you will be on your way to adventure in no time!
1. Read trip profile and Booking Agreement carefully before selecting a trip.
2. Make a deposit to reserve your spot by selecting any trip date. We accept online credit card payments or you can mail a check.
3.Tell us about yourself and complete a Trip Application Form (international destinations only).
4. Read over the Travel Insurance page. We highly recommend insurance for trips over $500, especially if you will be including flight travel in your trip.
1. Read the trip profile carefully. If you are unsure of anything, please feel free to call us toll-free at 800-310-4504 or e-mail George at gkaraffa@ems.com. We will be more than happy to discuss any of our programs so that you feel comfortable before moving ahead with reserving a spot.
2. Now that you have selected a trip just right for you, its time to reserve your spot by making a deposit. This is a non-refundable deposit, so please make sure you have read over all trip details. Important things to review are arrival and departure dates and trip level. Also, be sure to read and understand the Booking Agreement you will be accepting by making the deposit. All reservations are processed on a first come bases. Deposits can be made online or by mailing a check.
A.Pay by Credit Card: Select any trip date and you will be directed to a secured site for credit card payments. From here you can proceed with making the deposit. Fill out the necessary information on each page, double check to make sure everything has been entered correctly and submit. Within 24-48hrs you will be contacted to confirm your reservation.
B. Pay by Check: Select any trip date and fill out the necessary information that follows. When asked the method you wish to pay, select "check." We ask you to submit your deposit information online and then mail in your check. Please make checks payable to ""Eastern Mountain Sports." You should also make note of the trip you are paying for on the check. You can mail the a check to the address below. We will contact you shortly after to confirm your reservation.

3. We will contact you within 24-48 hours after receiving your deposit to confirm your reservation.
4. Travel insurance is highly recommended for any trips over $500. We do our best to plan for every situation, but having the peace of mind that you will not incur any losses while traveling is well worth considering. 5. For all trips that do not require you to travel by plane, you are all set! Depending on your payment schedule, we will be contacting you regarding final payment, if a balance is still due at this point.
Each trip page contains all the infomration you need including arrival and departure times, full itinerary and a gear list outlining the clothes and equipment you will need for the trip. If you have any specific questions about these items you can give us a call or visit your local Eastern Mountain Sports to speak with any of the trained outfitters.
If your trip requires a flight to arrival point...
It is very important to inform us of your arrival and departure itinerary. This will ensure we have staff available to pick you up and drop you off. Please send us your full flight itinerary including airline carrier, flight numbers, dates and times. Most importanly, please wait until your trip has been confirmed before booking any flights to avoid complications.
